Overview

The Mountainlair Student Union Games Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Games Area located in the Mountainlair Student Union.

  • Pay Rate: $12/hr.

How to Apply

  • Games Area Supervisors are hired from current Games Area Assistants.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for training of new games area assistants. 
  • Supervise personnel. 
  • Meet with Mountainlair Administration on weekly basis. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service. 
  • All aspects of daily opening and closing of the Games Area. 
  • Ensure user safety by closely monitoring patrons, and ensure the equipment is used in the correct manner. Ability to communicate with patron of misuse when needed. 
  • Operate Micros cash register. 
  • Ability to count money and give correct change. 
  • Light housekeeping of Games Area, including dry mopping of bowling area and operating the lane oiler machine. 
  • Complete reports and documentation in accordance with university and department policies. 
  • Keep counter area secured at all times.

Scheduled Hours

Those selected for this position will be assigned shifts during the following times:

  • Sunday: 3pm to 9pm 
  • Monday-Thursday: 3pm to 10pm 
  • Friday: 3pm to 2am 
  • Saturday: 6pm to 2am

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled WVU student in good academic standing (required) 
  • Previous supervisory experience (preferred) 
  • Exceptional customer service skills (required) 
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and evenings (required) Cash handling (required). 
  • Must be able to pass WVU’s Handling Training prior to being able to start working. 
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. 
  • Operate cash register (required)
