The Mountainlair, commonly called "the Lair" by students, has served as the student union and the heart of student life since 1968.

The Mountainlair is the center of WVU’s downtown campus life with a food court offering something for everyone.

With over 220,000 square feet of space, the Mountainlair provides a meeting place for social, recreational, cultural and educational pursuits.

Make your life easier with the many services available in the building, including a post office, banking, IT Services Center and more.

WVUp All Night has concluded and will return during the Fall 2025 Semester.

Entry during WVUp All night is limited to only WVU Students and their guests 17 years of age and older.
