Austin Grant

Austin serves as the Assistant Director, Operations at the Mountainlair Student Union, where he previously served as the Night Operations Coordinator. Austin has a passion for developing student employees and providing all students exceptional experiences on campus.

Austin received his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2021 and his Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration in 2023, both from West Virginia University. Austin first started as a lifeguard with Campus Recreation during his freshman year before as the Graduate Assistant for Aquatics from 2021-2023 while in graduate school. While serving in that role, Austin took on additional leadership roles including serving as the NIRSA State Student Leader for West Virginia and found his passion for working in Student Life.

Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking, boating, and maintaining pools at a local summer camp.
